Let’s have a blogshere banquet! Many of us comment back and forth with each other but have never met. This makes communication difficult sometimes. We don’t know who we are talking with so we form opinions and assume way too much. We don’t know who really cares and who is just blowing and going. Seriously, would anyone be interested in being a part of a special meeting for prayer and encouragement? I even invite Jeff Turpin!
I often read after Guy Muse, a Southern Baptist Missionary in South America. I don’t agree with everything found on his blog, but he has been there and done it and always has something interesting to say! For those of you interested in church planting here is an interesting post about CPM’s.

This past weekend I got together with several great guys in the big town of Monticello, AR. Special thanks to my good friend Chad Graves for being such a great host. If we are going to make it for the long term we need each other! It was good for both the guys and our ladies. We spent time encouraging each other in the Word and had some good prayer time. One of the best parts for me was James Taylor and Scott Bourland showed up Saturday evening. I hadn’t seen them in a while, so it was great to hang out before the Taylor Tribe leaves for Africa next month.
I want to challenge everyone to find two or three friends in the ministry and take the time to hang out and encourage one another on a regular basis!

I appreciate everyone who has commented on this subject so far. As this study and discussion continues I would like to try to keep the posts seperate so that the content will be easy to keep up with and on subject. Keep the comments coming! Those of you who have yet to comment, this would be a good time for you to get in.
In this post I would like you to list anything that you would call an error in the King James Bible. If it was your purpose in life to convince someone that the KJV is not the preserved inspired Word of God (in English) what guns would you pull out? List what you would call specific errors. Also clarify the manuscript you are comparing it to.

Does it matter what we preach or say as truth if God doesn’t agree with us? The answer is obviously a loud YES, but at the same time NO! No, because what we have said is worthless to everyone, we could have remained silent and been better off. To call something truth or to live by a certain position or philosophy that is not recognized by God is error that results in a lack of God’s blessing (a horrible consequence in and of itself). What we preach or believe as truth effects us AND those on the receiving end.
I have been guilty so many times of not doing the research and spending the right amount of time in prayer before holding certain positions or teachings. It seems today that we are so often tossed to and fro with every wind of doctrine. This is easy to do since many times we make up our minds about things based on who we associate with instead of the facts and seeking God with our whole heart. Case in point- seminaries generally produce a certain breed of preachers as opposed to another school of thought. The desire to fit into a certain group is human nature.
I admit there are times when I am concerned with pleasing myself and those around me and not necesarily God. Well, I may convince myself I’m pleasing God at the same time. I think my generation and younger is more apt to try new things and run with ideas without an honest search for the truth. Instead of waiting and doing the work and research we try things out (then decide) instead of seeking God with our whole heart.
We seem to be moving toward a more open to anything and everything NEW while aggressively dumping everything that is old. I am also guilty of having a bad attitude toward anyone that disagrees with me. Maybe bad attitude fits, but its more like talking as if they are stupid and I am right. God forgive me for being so immature.
The following is a question I propose for myself and anyone reading this post. If the only friend you had left was Jesus (because of a desire to please Him before anything else-For example: Noah), would you still be willing to take the stand that he would have you to take (even if it meant that no one else would associate with you)?
“My brethren, be not many masters, knowing that we shall receive the greater condemnation. For in many things we offend all. If any man offend not in word, the same is a perfect man, and able also to bridle the whole body.” Jas 3:1-2
Do we live in light of the above scriptures or are we like, oh well if I’m wrong God’s grace is sufficient? Both grace and Jas 3:1-2 are New Testament teachings so shouldn’t I consider the later with my whole heart?
